Navigation: Management Console -> Settings -> Portal Settings

This page allows users to manage the settings and the clients' experience on their own web ordering portal provided by AMFG.

Below, you can review a summary of all available settings you can configure within this space that will affect your front-end portal setup.

General settings

1. Choose which quotation workflow panels should be available on the Dashboard page on the portal. The order of the panels determines the position on the Dashboard.

  • Request a Quote - manual quote request flow

  • Instant Quote - transfers you to the Instant Quote tab on the front-end portal

    • Show gross price - shows a detailed breakdown of the costs within the Instant Quote workflow, including VAT amounts.

    • Show Production Notes in FE -

    • Display manual quote button on the Instant quote page - not operational!

    • Accept part without 3D CAD files - allows the customers to upload non-CAD files, such as PDF and images, on the Instant Quote page.

2. Manage the display & positioning of News & Information widgets on your portal dashboard:

  • Display News widget

  • Display Information widget

3. The Catalogue page or certain projects can be hidden on the front-end portal.

  • Display catalog page - if switched off, hides the whole Catalogue page on the front-end

    • Catalogue projects without customer-specific tags are visible to all customers in the front-end portal

4. Decide if changes should be automatically accepted after repair or display the repair pop-up window with changes.

  • Automatically accept changes after repair

5. Determine if Terms & Conditions should be mandatory and displayed on the checkout page.

  • T&Cs are mandatory and displayed

6. Determine if you want to allow customers to register with Private accounts on the portal.

  • Private registration

7. Customers can only add auto-quoted parts to the basket. This allows for immediate check-out of partial orders.

  • Enable Partial checkout

  • Enable Additional Files upload at checkout

Note: Voucher functionality is not supported with Partial checkout turned ON!***

8. If Express checkout is ON, the Customer Portal users will not see a price or need to wait for the part to be analysed. The price will be calculated in the background, and an order will be created.

  • Express checkout

Note: Only Invoice payment and Simple Delivery are supported!***

9. When voucher functionality is enabled, the voucher code field will be shown in the Basket on the Customer Portal.

  • Enable voucher functionality

Note: If Partial checkout is enabled, the voucher code field won't be displayed!***

3D Viewer

  • Wall thickness

    • Visible wall thickness by default

Login & Registration

1. Choose if login should be Required or Optional on the Customer Portal.

  • Required - customers won't be able to use the portal at all before registering an account.

  • Optional - allows customers to use the portal, quote parts, send quotes, or complete orders as Guests, without registering.

2. Determine which options should be mandatory during customer registration.

  • Email validation for new registrations - Newly registered customers will be required to validate their email address before they can access the portal.

  • State/County is a mandatory field - State/Country needs to be filled in the address during registration.

Please note: If states are used in Tax configurations AND states are not mandatory via configuration, there is a possibility an error will occur during calculation or check-out!***

  • VAT ID is a mandatory field - the VAT ID field is available only for Business accounts registration.

  • Email capture - capture the customer's email, even if registration is set to 'Optional'. This allows guest customers to still explore your portal without the need to register, enabling you to gather potential leads.

Delivery pricing

Select between Simple Delivery pricing or Advanced Delivery with custom pricing for each box and method.

Note: Changing between those settings will cause the clearing of the clients' basket items!***

Units

Reposition the units to determine in what order they will appear in the portal.

  • Millimeters (mm)

  • Centimeters (cm)

  • Inch

Note: The AMFG platform uses only millimeters (MM) for calculations by default. The other options are used only for visually changing how dimensions are displayed, but no calculations are made in centimeters (cm) or inches!***

Tables Configuration

This determines which columns will be displayed on the Projects page in the Customer Portal on the Order and on the Part level, respectively. Here, users can hide/display columns via toggle, or rearrange them in a different order.

Analytics

This section provides the possibility to integrate the AMFG customer portal with Google Analytics directly, or through a Google Tag Manager setup.
Please refer to the linked articles below for more information on each setup:

  • No analytics - set by default.

  • Google Analytics - allows for direct integration by providing your Measurement ID from Google Analytics directly to the field in the Portal Settings.

  • Other analytics - backend configuration from AMFG's support team is required for Google Tag Manager setup.

Minimum height of portal

Please define the minimum height of the portal for desktop/tablet/mobile in px or % based on the resolution of the screen you are using. The system will take the higher value. Default values are set to 60%.
