Simple Delivery
AMFG offers flexible configuration options for delivery methods to cater to various business scenarios. Users can choose between a Simple method, which uses flat fees, or an Advanced method for custom pricing based on boxes and methods.
This guide focuses on the Simple delivery configuration.
Phase 1: Enabling Simple Delivery
Before configuring specific rates, you must ensure the correct delivery mode is active.
Navigate to Settings → Portal Settings → Delivery Pricing section.
Select Simple from the available options.
Warning: Changing these settings will cause the system to clear all items currently in clients' baskets.
Simple Delivery Definition: Allows you to specify delivery methods, target countries, and set fixed flat fees.
Phase 2: Defining Delivery Options (Attributes)
You must first create the names of the delivery services that will be visible to customers.
Navigate to Settings → Attributes & Status → Quote tab → Delivery Options.
Click +Add Delivery Option.
Enter the name as you want it to appear on the web application's check-out page.
Examples: Standard, Express, Customer Collection, DHL Standard, UPS Express.
Phase 3: Setting Countries and Flat Fees
Once the options are created, you must link them to specific countries and define the pricing.
Navigate to Settings → Simple Delivery (you can also follow the direct link to that page from the Delivery Options configuration page)
Add Methods: Choose from the delivery options previously configured in 'Attributes'.
Define Location: Select specific countries or entire continents.
Set Pricing: Enter the flat-fee delivery price for each method/country combination.
Default Country: Select a Default delivery country (e.g., United Kingdom) to streamline the checkout process for the majority of your users.
Phase 4: Optional Fees and Constraints
To further refine your shipping costs, you can set order-level fees and limits.
Handling Fee per Item: Set an optional fee applied to every individual item in the order.
Minimum Delivery Charge: Define the lowest possible shipping cost per order.
Maximum Delivery Charge: Set a cap on the total shipping cost per order to ensure it remains competitive.
