What is our AMFG x Autodesk Fusion plugin?
AMFG and Autodesk have partnered to enable a seamless workflow for Additive Manufacturing:
Efficiently manage your builds between AMFG and Autodesk Fusion.
Synchronise your data across systems with live data transfer.
Accelerate the nesting and build preparation process.
How to use our AMFG x Autodesk Fusion plugin?
1. Open a Build from AMFG
Navigate to Production > Create a Build to access your build with assigned parts. Click on “Send to AMFG Desktop Agent”. This will open the build in Fusion, where you can add/remove parts and save nested/sliced files. You can have multiple builds open simultaneously and publish updates back to AMFG.
2. Create a New Build in Autodesk Fusion
Access the AMFG plugin in Fusion under Manufacture > Additive. From here, you can create new builds and add parts already imported in AMFG in the “Available for Assignment” tab.
How to install our AMFG x Autodesk Fusion plugin?
1. Update AMFG Connect
If you already have it installed, it should automatically suggest that you update to the latest version (0.7.3). Otherwise, please contact your AMFG representative.
2. Select Fusion in AMFG Connect
In Settings, log in with your AMFG user account and select Autodesk Fusion as the installed software.
3. Add the AMFG plugin in Fusion
In Manufacture > Add-Ins, click on + then “Script or add-in from device”. Select “C:\ProgramFiles\AMFG\ AMFG Connect\fusion-addin”.
Check “Run on Startup”.

“I was blown away by how well the solution turned out. It’s bidirectionally associative, so if you add a part in AMFG, it will automatically reflect in Fusion, and if you add more parts in Fusion, it will automatically reflect in AMFG, and that is the kind of API automation we love to see.”
