Customers may occasionally encounter login difficulties when accessing the AMFG Portal. These issues are often related to incorrect credentials, browser settings, or forgotten passwords. This guide outlines the most common login problems and provides step-by-step solutions to help customers regain access quickly.

1. Verify You Are Using the Correct Login Page

Before troubleshooting, ensure that the customer is attempting to log in through the correct AMFG Portal URL provided by the organisation.
Using an outdated or bookmarked link may lead to login failures or error messages.

If possible, confirm with the administrator whether SSO (Single Sign-On) or standard email/password authentication is required, as this may affect the login process.

2. Check Email Address and Password

Many login issues stem from either:

  • Typing errors

  • Email addresses with misspellings

  • Using old or previously changed passwords

  • Accidentally copying extra spaces when pasting the email or password

Encourage the customer to:

  • Re-enter their email manually

  • Carefully retype the password

  • Ensure that Caps Lock is not enabled

  • Verify that auto-fill options are not inserting incorrect information

If the customer still cannot log in, proceed to the password reset process.

3. Using the “Forgot Your Password?” Option

If the customer has forgotten their password or is unsure whether they are using the correct one, they can reset it directly from the AMFG Portal front-end login screen.

Step-by-Step Password Reset Process

  1. Navigate to the AMFG Portal login screen.
The standard login page will display the fields for Email and Password.

  2. Click on the “Forgot your password?” link.

  3. After clicking the link, the “Forgotten Your Password” screen will appear.
This screen contains a field where the customer must enter the email address associated with their AMFG account.

  4. Enter the registered email address.
Ensure the customer types the email correctly with no extra spaces before or after the address.

  5. Submit the form.
Once submitted, the system will send a password reset email to the provided address.

  6. Check the inbox (Spam/Junk folder included).
The password reset email typically arrives within a few minutes.
    If it doesn’t, confirm that:

    • The email entered was correct

    • The customer account actually exists in the system

    • The organisation’s email filters are not blocking the message

    • The "Password Reminder" email template in your AMFG Console is Active

  7. Follow the link provided in the email.
This link will take the customer to a secure page where they can set a new password.

  8. Create a new password.
For security, choose a strong password that meets the portal’s complexity requirements.

  9. Return to the login page and sign in using the new password.

4. Browser Troubleshooting (If Reset Doesn’t Work)

Some login issues come from the browser environment rather than the credentials. Ask the customer to try the following:

  • Clear browser cache and cookies
Old session data can prevent successful logins.

  • Disable browser extensions temporarily
Password managers, ad blockers, or security plugins can interfere with login forms.

  • Try an incognito/private browsing window
This isolates the login process from cached data.

  • Use a different browser
    Recommended: Chrome, Firefox, Edge.

5. Confirm the Account Is Active

If the customer still cannot log in after resetting the password:

  • Their account may not yet be activated

  • The customer may be attempting to log in with an email address not registered in the system

Administrators can check the account status within the Customers Management section of the AMFG Management console.

6. Check for SSO (Single Sign-On) Requirements

Some organisations configure the AMFG Portal to use:

  • Google SSO

  • Other identity providers

If SSO is enabled for the customer’s organisation, they must log in using the SSO button rather than entering a password manually.
Using the wrong method will result in login errors or “Invalid credentials” messages.

Conclusion

Most AMFG Portal login issues can be resolved by verifying the correct login page, resetting the password, and checking browser settings. The “Forgot your password?” feature provides a straightforward way for customers to regain access, and administrators can assist with verifying account status if needed.
