Simply select ‘Add machine’ to access the machine database.
Step 1 - Enter or search from a list of machine manufacturers.
Step 2 - Enter or search from the list of machine models.
Step 3 - Enter the number of machines you operate. This will be displayed as the number of units.
If a machine is not listed, select 'Can't find my machine?' to manually enter model, technology, platform size, and number of units.
Here, you will select the closest machine. This ensures that machines are linked to our core database. The machine you link to will not show on your system; only the custom name you selected will be displayed.
You can view your list of machines in the ‘Machines’ tab. Here you can search and filter by machine groups, remove a machine, which will change its status to ‘Inactive’, and restore the old machines.
To view information on your machine group or add more individual machine units, click on the machine link to access the sidebar.
In the machine sidebar, you can edit the following information on the machine:
Machine group name
Thumbnail
Services available on the machine
Platform size
Technology
Add custom fields
Add machine units
To fully change the machine group to another in AMFG’s core database, press the “Machine Database” button at the top left corner of the sidebar, and again select from the pre-listed machines.
Note: If you change the linked machine, all data input will be overwritten with what's stored in the AMFG database.
Changing Technology
All of the machines in AMFG’s core database will have a technology assigned by default. If you wish to change this or create a custom machine, you can edit the machine’s technology in the technology dropdown. Create custom technologies by clicking the “MANAGE TECHNOLOGIES" button:
Your list of technologies will be shown in Settings -> Quotation Forms, where you can apply specific configurations and build logic per technology:
Custom Machine Group Properties
For each machine group, you can set up to 5 custom properties. This could be information such as average layer height, machine run rate, cost to operate, or energy consumption.
These values can be used within AMFG’s worker scripts to calculate prices or any other information on the order. Create the title of the custom field and the value for each machine.
The article on how to use this information in the pricing of workers is found here: How to Use Material Series Data
