Best Practices
When editing translations:
Ensure translations remain clear and consistent with your company’s style.
Avoid altering the meaning of system messages that may affect user understanding.
Verify translations across different languages to maintain accuracy and usability.
If you have multiple languages installed in Settings → Localisation, first select the desired language. This ensures that you are connected to the corresponding web portal and can edit the translations for that specific language.
You can narrow down the content by content type.
Select from the following options: Portal, Technologies, Machines, Materials, Services, Colours, Resolutions, Layer Thickness, News & Information, Quotation Form Regions, Customer Quotation Fields, Services Custom Fields, Services Group Names, Feedback Question, and Material Properties.
How to customise translation strings:
To change the Original Translation in the selected Content Type, quickly search in the Original Translation field via keyword.
Unless configured via the filtering function, the search results will return all strings that contain the suggested keyword:
Once the exact element that has to be changed is identified, enter the text in the Local Translation field:
When the modification is done, click Save at the bottom of the page and refresh the web portal to apply and view the changes.
