Overview

The Folder Structure page allows you to configure how CAD files are named and organized when they are downloaded from Orders and Builds.

This helps ensure consistent file naming and folder structures across your workflows.

Configure Folder Structure

The Folder Structure page is divided into four sections, each controlling a different level of the file structure:

  • Catalogue

  • Ticket

  • Order

  • Build

Each section allows you to define naming rules and folder hierarchy for that stage of the process.

Types of the Downloaded Files

The AMFG user can adjust the file naming for all versions of the downloaded files:

  • Uploaded (Source) files

  • Converted (Repaired and converted to STL) files

  • Prepared (Quoted and Produced) files

​Uploaded files represent the source files that were uploaded to the system. These files have not been converted to STL format or repaired yet.

Downloading files in AMFG

In AMFG, the different versions of the uploaded files in the system can be downloaded from several spaces.

  • Catalogue

Files can be downloaded from the Catalogues by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Catalogue page.

  2. Click on the relevant Order ID.

  3. Select the relevant parts for files download

  4. Click on the down-arrow button and select Download source file or Download final files.
    ​

  5. Or, by clicking on the clock icon on a specific part and choosing the version of the files for download:
    ​

  • Tickets

Similar to the Catalogue orders, files can also be downloaded from a Ticket by navigating to Requests → Tickets Overview → Open a Ticket → Download files either in bulk by selecting multiple parts, or individually from a part through the clock icon.

  • Work Orders

In Work Orders Overview, the same methods from Catalogues and Tickets would apply. The difference is that here all source files from the whole order can be downloaded directly from the Work Orders Overview page as well, by following these steps:

  1. Select Orders with a checkmark. You can select all orders on the page in bulk. Please note that if the size of the download is too large, you may trigger an error message!

  2. Click on the Download files button.

  3. Select what type of files you wish to download.

  • Builds

Once the parts have been added to a build through the Production module, the part files will be available for download from the following spaces:

  1. Navigate to Production → Create a Build

    1. Select a build

    2. In the pop-up sidebar on the right, click on the download icon

    3. Select if you wish to download the Uploaded (source) files, or the Quoted STL files

  2. Navigate to Production → Production Overview

    1. Select a build in the timetable

    2. Click on the download icon in the pop-up window

    3. Select the version of the files you wish to download
      ​

      Note: The ​Сonverted files represent the conversion of the original file format to STL, as our system works only with STL internally.
      ​

Name Templating

File names can be configured using different part parameters, allowing you to control how downloaded files are named.

For example, uploaded files from a Build might use the following name format:

  • File Name

  • Quantity

These parameters can be combined to create consistent and meaningful file names for your workflow.
