Production Module: Production Overview

The Production module encompasses the key stages of the 3D printing production process, including build preparation, production, post-production scheduling, and machine monitoring.

The Production Overview serves as the central hub of the production planning process, offering a clear and comprehensive view of both planned production schedules and available capacity. This page enables teams to quickly understand how resources are allocated across time and identify potential bottlenecks or gaps in capacity.

Using an intuitive calendar-style workflow chart, users can easily respond to scheduling changes in real time. Production builds can be dragged and repositioned along the timeline, allowing schedules to be adjusted instantly. Build durations can also be edited directly, making it simple to reflect changes in scope, priority, or resource availability.

By combining high-level visibility with hands-on control, the Production Overview supports faster decision-making, improves scheduling accuracy, and helps ensure production plans remain aligned with operational demands.

Here are the main functionalities of the Gantt board in the Production Overview:

The Machines list displays all machines that are connected and linked to a build platform. These machines are available to be assigned to production builds and used during scheduling. From this view, users can manage machine assignments and adjust production plans by dragging builds across the timetable on the right-hand side to reassign or reschedule them for a specific machine.

The Calendar View allows users to filter and select specific days to see what is scheduled, currently in progress, or completed. This view provides a clear timeline of production activity, making it easy to monitor build status at a glance and understand how production is progressing over time.

The Create a Build pop-up is where users can set up a new production build. From here, build details such as machine assignment, duration, and scheduling can be defined before the build is added to the production timeline.

The Gantt Chart appears on the dashboard and visually represents a build’s position on the production timeline. It shows when a build is scheduled, if it's currently in progress, or if it has been completed. The color of the build bar reflects the build’s status, making it easy to identify its state at a glance.

The timetable filtering options—1 day, 3 Days, and 1 Week—allow users to quickly adjust the calendar view to focus on short-term or near-future production schedules. This helps users plan more effectively and respond quickly to changes in production demand.

Below the Gantt Chart and timetable, the Production Overview presents detailed information on Builds, Parts, and Items that are available to be scheduled, or have already been scheduled on the timetable.

On the Build tab, builds are presented in a structured table displaying essential details such as Build ID, build name, platform, machine group, status, and start date for both scheduled and unscheduled builds.

The table offers customizable filtering and column options, allowing users to tailor the view to their specific needs. The same functionality applies to the Part and Item tabs, where users can view both assigned and unassigned parts and items.

For added convenience, a navigation button next to each build name allows users to quickly select a build and jump directly to its corresponding position in the timetable.
