Create a Ticket Overview
In general, when initiating the process of creating a Work Order in AMFG, the first step that occurs is the creation of a Ticket in our system. Whether a customer is sending a manual quote request (Request a Quote), completes the order on the Customer (Web) Portal via the Instant Quote workflow, or a user in the Management Console is creating a Work Order internally, we would always have a Ticket to start with, where parts can be uploaded, removed, priced, and quoted.
Creating a Ticket in the Management Console
To create a Ticket internally from the Management Console, you can use a couple of different methods:
Simply click the "+CREATE" button constantly located in the top bar
Or use the old-fashioned way of navigating to Requests → Tickets Overview → Click the "CREATE TICKET" button
Within the Ticket Overview
Once the ticket is created, you will be forwarded to what is called the 'Part Preparation page'.
Step 1 - Browse.
Upload CAD files from your computer or network.
Step 2 - Assign a contact via the "Change Contact" button. This is a mandatory step!
Either select from the list of saved contacts or create a new one:
Step 3 - Select the uploaded part file.
Step 4 - Repair the model using the Analysis & Repair widget (if necessary).
Step 5 - Select the Production Parameters.
Production Parameters will reflect the logic of the Internal Quotation Form assigned in Settings → Quotation Forms.
Step 6 - Add to Quote
Once selected, this will apply the selected parameters to the part with the calculated price. It will also create an entry in the Activity Log of the Ticket.
Step 7 - Create a Quote or Send to Production
Send to Production
This transforms a Ticket into a Work Order that can also be viewed in the Work Orders -> Work Orders Overview page afterward.
Note: When this option is selected, no customer communication is automatically sent unless there's a workflow rule set up for that in the Autonomous -> Workflow Automation page.
Create a Quote
This will open the Quote Module, where a quote can be configured and sent to the customer. Please follow the detailed guide for this Page here - Quotation Page Guide.
