Overview
Internal Production Centers are used to route production jobs across internal production facilities. (for example, if certain production technologies are only available in certain facilities).
Creating an Internal Production Center
Internal Production Centers can be added in Settings > Production Centers page > Add Production Center.
The only information required is the "Production Center name."
Creating Automation Rules
Same as for External Production Centers: Rules can be defined to route production jobs across Internal Production Centers.
The flow is the same as we already have for Workflow Automation rules. You can send the orders to the specific Internal Production Center automatically based on specific conditions that can be set.
For example, the order will be automatically sent to the production center based on the specifically selected technology and material:
In Settings > Production Parameters > Machines tab > Machine details, you can assign a machine to an Internal Production Center:
You can also create departments in Settings > Users > Departments and assign departments to a Production Center. For each department, you can define what technologies and materials are available:
In a Ticket/Work Order, you can assign a part production job to a Production Center in the Part details widget.
For Internal Production Centers, prices are calculated according to quotation forms for “Internal quotation”. The Quotation Form should have the following defined fields:
Technology (Mandatory)
Machine (Mandatory)
Material (Mandatory)
Services (Mandatory)
Colour (Optional)
Machines, Materials, and Services that are used for internal quotation should be linked and Active in Settings > Production Parameters.
How to create Linked Services and Materials:
Both connected AMFG consoles need to choose Services and Materials in Production Parameters that are “linked” to outsource production. A production job with certain services and materials can only be outsourced to a connected partner if both AMFG consoles have chosen the same linked Services and Materials.
How to create a linked Service:
How to create a linked Material:
In Settings > Production Parameters > Materials > Add Material - Choose a Material from the AMFG database - Select a Supplier and Material from the dropdown menu (screenshot 1), and then choose a Machine Group from the dropdown menu to assign the material to that machine.
If you click on “Can’t find my material?” and add a material manually, you will have to link it to a Material Grade from our database (screenshot 2). The connected client needs to add the same “linked” material to send a job with that material.
What to do if my material doesn’t exist in the provided list?
Add a random material from the dropdown menu on your AMFG console and the same material on the connected AMFG console.
Open the material and change the name and material properties according to the actual material you want to offer. This needs to be done on both AMFG consoles.
