This article explains the need to whitelist your corporate domain and provides the relevant steps to do so.

In order to send out external communication emails from AMFG to internal users or end customers, we're using an email service tool called Mandrill (provided by Mailchimp).

Whitelisting your domain in Mandrill allows you to send emails from AMFG to your customers using your company's email address. The service also ensures that emails sent to your customers don't end up in their spam/ junk mailboxes.

There are some domain authentication (security) configurations that users have to perform to ensure that emails are continuously sent and reach the intended recipient.

Domain Whitelisting Steps

To ensure that your emails are sent seamlessly from AMFG, you are required to update your DKIM records and enact a DMARC policy on any email-sending domain that you might be using. Failure to update this will result in emails being rejected (not sent).

Note: This is a requirement enforced by email service providers such as Google, Microsoft, etc.

Listed below are all the steps you need to follow to verify your domain:

1. Verify that you have access to this domain:

Please contact our support team via the in-app chatbot or via email at support@amfg.ai and provide us with an email address with the respective domain where we can send you an email with a verification link.

Once the link is received, please forward it to our support team without trying to open the link itself. We will verify your domain via this link on our end in Mandrill.

2. Set DKIM policy for your domain:

Create two CNAME type records in your DNS settings:

  • One with the name: mte1._domainkey.yourdomain.com and with the value: dkim1.mandrillapp.com

  • One with the name: mte2._domainkey.yourdomain.com and with the value dkim2.mandrillapp.com

3. Set DMARC policy for your domain:

Create and save a TXT type record in your DNS with the name:

  • _dmarc.yourdomain.com and with the value v=DMARC1; p=none

In the above DKIM and DMARC instructions, replace yourdomain.com with the actual domain name you're setting up. Some domain hosts automatically add the domain name after the initial value—contact your domain provider for any specifics.

These changes have to be applied in your email domain’s DNS settings. Please reach out to your IT team or your email or domain provider if you are unsure where to make these updates.
